JVC Introduces a Tunerless TV for Photographs
I’m not sure what to make of this… a 42” Full HD Tunerless TV, the LT-42WX70. A TV dedicated to photo enthusiasts to view their pictures? It can ALSO be purchased with an external TV tuner (TU-CX100 ) or simply with a integrated tuner (Model LT-42WX70).
A small difference of price between the tunerless and regular versions could motivate someone a TV like this, but does JVC think they’ll be a big demand? It’s a bit far from the C in CES (Consumer).

You wonder who would buy a TV wo/ a tuner? Huh? I wonder who would buy one WITH a tuner. Video is delivered thru HDMI / component video / VGA input via cable box, Blueray player, HD camcorder, PC connection, streaming media box, etc. But thru a tuner? perhaps in metro areas if you can get HD channels locally, but that’s fairly lame IMO.
WHy bother with a tuner and speakers if you hae cable, dvd and surround sound
