Sharp’s Small Aquos TVs are Japan’s Best Seller, TV Ranking 2008

Here’s an interesting ranking from BNC Japan. This time they focused their attention on TVs, and it seems that in 2008, our Japanese friends loved small (32”) TVs, preferably from Sharp… If I can’t personally agree on the size of the TV, I quite agree with our Japanese friends when it comes to the brand. I’m proud to own a Sharp AQUOS LCD TV.

    I think the japanese like small size tv because their house is small and could not fit the big screen tv.

    Hermes: JVC pulled out of the TV market in Japan.

    IAMCANADIAN: Samsung and LG are Korean and therefore highly unpopular in Japan.

    Chirspynutt: As I understand that JVC just stopped TV manufacturing in Jap (cost down) but they still supply the local with products made from their sites in Thailand / Mexico.

    IAMCANADIAN: Samsung LCD looks good when we turn it off. LOL
