First Commercial Blu-Ray Disc-DVD Hybrid Announced in Japan
PonyCanyon, a subsidiary of Japan’s Fuji TV, announced the first ever commercial Blu-ray disc/DVD featuring the Japanese drama “Code Blue” packaged in a special box.
This is a dual side disc (Blu-ray 25GB and 8GB DVD). We’re happy to finally have the opportunity to acquire one of these multi-formats discs, however, we hope to get better content soon!

So, what’s so great about it? One side is a DVD the other a DB?
I’d rather see an entire series on 2 BD100’s
This could be good for consumers. We could buy retail DVD and Blu-ray versions of a movie in the one package!
They already do this on separate discs.
This makes sure you do not accidentally use the wrong disc in the wrong device.
I see nothing positive in discs like this…
