NEC to Introduce a New VersaPro Ultralight Notebook in Japan

NEC in Japan announced the release date for their new Notebook and Desktop PC. Both should be available in January, 2009.

The VersaPro UltraLight type VC Notebook features a 12.1’’ LCD screen with a WXGA resolution (1,280×800), from a Celeron 723 (1.2GHz) CPU to an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 (1.2GHz), 1GB of RAM, 80GB of HDD, an Intel GS45 Express chipset. Both support SSD (optional), Wifi, Fingerprint Sensor, Felica port, SD card slot and run either on Windows XP Professional, or Windows Vista Business.

Price: from 149,000 Yen (1200€) to 200,000 (1600€).

The all-in-one desktop PC comes with a 17-Inch LCD Mate screen with a SXGA resolution (1,280×1,024), an Intel Celeron E1400 (2GHz), 1GB of memory, 80GB of HDD, an Intel Q45 Express Chipset, as well as a DVD drive, six USB ports, and runs on Windows Vista Business.
