Kohjinsha Offers Windows XP to Their Atom Powered UMPC

Yesterday, Japan’s Kohjinsha announced the availability of new operating systems for their SC3 and SX3 Series. They now come with Windows XP Home Edition instead of Windows Vista. Yep, this should be better for an ATOM powered UMPC.

As a reminder, the SC3 Series comes with an Intel Atom Z520 CPU (1.33GHz), 1GB of RAM, 60GB of HDD, a 7” wide LCD LED backlight touchscreen, an internal GPS (Optional), Wifi b/g, Bluetooth, and 1.3Mpix web camera.

You can get it now here (beginning in December).

The SX3 Seriesfeatures almost the same specs, but with a screen size of 8.9 Inch, and a DVD Super Multi Drive.

It will also available at the beginning of December here.
