Bandai’s Gun O’Clock Hands-on!

Last month Bandai Japan announced the Gun O’Clock, and the nice Bandai team sent over a sample for us to check how cool the thing is.

For those who were under a rock for the past couple of weeks, the Gun O’Clock is a nifty alarm clock developed by Bandai and sold only in Japan (so far). The concept behind it is pretty simple, you have to successfully hit the bullseye to shut the alarm up (thanks a cute little gun).

The overall system is pretty straight forward and easy to use. You have three modes, a regular alarm mode where you need to shoot as quick as you can in order to sleep longer, and a “Hard Mode” requiring you to shoot the center at least 5 times to stop the alarm. There’s also a simple practice mode where you can test how fast you can strike a bullseye.

Pictures and video are always worth a thousand words so here’s a small video test for you (practice mode). Also be sure to check our gallery.

For those interested in the Gun O’Clock, this item is only sold in Japan, but you can always get one here online thanks to GeekStuff4U.com
