Marantz Releases a Wireless iPod Dock

Here’s an interesting piece of news, a wireless iPod dock from Marantz. With Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR A2DP and Bluetooth AVRCP (Audio / Video Remote Control Profile), it lets iPod users with one or more home cradles (with charging features) in their home stream contents to any audio system (Marantz also provides a dedicated receivers).
If there are a few doubts concerning this systems audio streaming support. I, however, have some doubts about the iPod video streaming capabilities of the overall system… The Marantz receiver has two video outputs, which I assume can stream video too, but I didn’t find any specific mention of this in the press release…
Anyway, here’s a fairly cool system that allows one to take full control of an iPod from a HiFi.
