15000rpm 2.5” SAS HDD from Fujitsu

The faster your computer HDD is, the faster your PC. Yeah, it’s a pretty lame way to introduce this news, but it’s a fact. Here’s Fujitsu’s MBE2 RC SAS 2.5” HDD, available in either 73.5GB or 147GB with a stunning speed of 15000rpm.

It will be released in Japan between January and March 2009, and we have yet to get any confirmation on its price.

That said, I upgraded my ASUS R1 with a 7200rpm HDD and you can’t imagine how hot this it is. At 15000 rpm, if you install it on a laptop you’d better be careful, you may burn yourself.

    SAS is different than SATA. There is no laptop that comes with SAS interface.
