HTC’s Max 4G: The World’s First GSM-WiMax Cellphone

Yesterday HTC officially announced (Yep Eric, I respected your embargo) their Max 4G. It’s basically an average HTC HD minus the HSDPA (3.5), but a big jump over WiMax making it the first Windows Mobile 6.1 4G phone. What’s the advantage of WiMax compared to HSDPA? This new baby provides a decent data speed of 70Mb/sec (symmetric).

Yep, I can see some of you drooling like babies… Want one? No problem, but you’ll have to brush up on your Russian and get your passport ready since this baby is so far only available there.

Interesting that it’s named “4G”, since that standard does not exist yet…
(No, Wi-Max is not 4G. At least not yet.)
The phone itself, on the other hand creates a lot of “wanting”

We have camera phone but not for video calling this is first one it think used for video calling and used with wifi network
