Logitec’s Eco Friendly 1TB external HDD
Logitec Japan (no relevance to the Swiss based Logitech) today announced the LHD-ED1000U2L, an average 1TB external HDD with USB 2.0 and some Eco friendly features.
No this HDD case isn’t made of corn based plastic, but features a nifty Power Saving mode that will stop HDD rotation after 1 minute of inactivity (no access to its stored data). This feature works on both PC and MAC, but only a PC powered computer with the appropriate software allows for tweaking the power-saving feature and increasing the time before stopping HDD disk rotation.
It will cost around 220€ in Japan.
