World First QWXGA (2048 x 1152) LCD?

This morning Samsung released their latest widescreen monitor, the 23” 2342BWX, dedicated to all office workers who choose to use VISTA and Vista’s sidebar on their desktop (Yeah, what a stupid idea you may think). So why is it dedicated to them? If you look at the pictures below in the gallery, you’ll see it can fit two A4 pages side by side as well Vista’s infamous sidebar. Yep, that’s what I call great screen real estate optimization!

With this setting it’s Samsung’s intention to crush the requirement of two screens for a dual screen setup, thus saving money and space for corporations large and small.

Prices in Korea are expected to be around 230 Euros.
