DoCoMo’s SH-04A: HTC Touch Pro Wannabe

DoCoMo introduced over 22 new models at a press conference today. Yeah 22! To cover them all would be a waste of time, but here’s the SH-04A, an HTC Touch Pro lookalike from Sharp minus the Windows Mobile flavor.

It obviously has a proprietary OS (based on Symbian), with a 5.2Mpix camera, HSDPA, 1Seg TV tuner, GPS, Mobile e-Wallet, Bluetooth with A2DP and Virtual 5.1Ch Dolby Mobile, a 3D UI, and a nice full QWERTY keyboard.
The screen has a Wide VGA resolution (480×854) on a 3.5” ASV Sharp screen.

Available in three colors at a size of 114 x 54 x 16.3mm and a weight of 140g.

Haha, this is just too good, I’ve just ordered my HTC touch HD. It’s going to be my PSP replacement for watching movies on the go. But I have to say that if this phone were available where I live, this would have been a serious contender considering the it’s nice form factor and specs, I especially like that the screen is covering most part of it’s front, really making good use of it’s surface real-estate, yet being small and light.

where did you order your touch HD from

Hmmm, What About Sony Ericsson EXPERIA X1?

“cantpickaphone”.. I ordered my HTC HD from an online store here in Sweden, they say they’ll have it on the 21th :D

*note: weird comment system to cut off my previous comment, because of a unusual character used!

Like hell the gonna release this one outside japan. There NTT Docomo only models.

So stop dreaming.

I just got this phone and I love it!! Only 300 more pages in the 530+ page manual to read. I upgraded from an SH905i and this phone is hella times better.
