LED Based Video Projector, the VLP-100

Scitec Japan introduced a new video projector, the VLP-100. It has a stunning… brace yourself, QVGA resolution of 320×240 and features an LED based lighting system (four LEDs made by the German manufacturer OSRAM).
It has a size of 180 x 110 x 55 mm at 1kg.

My question is plain stupid, 320×240? What for?

Expect a price of 296€.
