CEATEC 2008 Live (Day 2): Panasonic Booth and Many Nice Concepts
Here’s some new concepts from Panasonic and displayed at CEATEC 2008.
Minority Report’s World
I think everybody knows this movie, and the famous interactive screen. Two years ago we introduced you to the Panasonic’s Interactive TV Wall where an unusual remote control was required to interact with on screen objects. At the CEATEC show, Panasonic introduced us to an advanced interactive TV with a new technology.
This time a remote control isn’t needed, just know how to use your hands. There’s a camera positioned above the TV which detects motions allowing screen interaction.
Sounds impressive? We’re not convinced. During the demonstration we felt a lack of precision and responsiveness. It’s interesting technology, and we strongly support improvements!

Control Your TV with a Mouse Pad
Panasonic also introduced an original remote control composed of a Notebook mouse pad (look at the picture gallery). It’s a normal remote control for changing channels and regular control.

Viera Living Room
Here’s some pictures of a Viera Living Room. Designed to enhance your home-theater experience, just sit on the sofa, the curtains close automatically, and the TV moves in front of you…
150-Inch PDP TV
Panasonic introduced a stunning Plasma TV with a 150-Inch plasma panel. Impressive.
Take a moment to look at our pictures of various Panasonic concepts, and some products we already know. Notice last picture of a woman demonstrating the interactive screen.
