Official Release Date for iRiver’s Spinn

For those waiting for the new iRiver Spinn introduced at the CES 2008, it will be available on October 3rd. At the moment, it’s announced for release in the US. The 4GB version goes for $249 US (170€) and the 8GB version for $289.99 US (200€).

No word regarding the 16GB version.

As a reminder, this PMP is equipped with a 3.3″ AMOLED screen (480×272) and weighs only 70 grams. It supports audio (MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, ASF), video (MPEG4, WM9, WMA), DMB (mobile TV), radio, flash, Bluetooth, and a lot of other things.

    Right now it’s iRiver playing catch up. The new SPINN is good. I have no regrets purchasing this this player. It’s definitely worth it.

    Check on the youtube video, the LCD display looks great. Not sure about the sound but I assume the sound will be better than clix2.
