Sony Annouces the Release Date and Price of Their VPL-VW80 & VPL-HW10 SXRD Projectors

Sony introduced two new SXRD projectors, the VPL-VW80 and VPL-HW10, at the IFA2008. Today they announced their Japan release dates, October 20th (VPL-HW10) and November 20th (VPL-VW80).

In case you forgot, the VPL-HW10 provides a resolution of 1920×1080, a contrast ratio 30,000:1, a brightness of 750/1000 lumens, BRAVIA Engine 2, two HDMI inputs, a triple-panel SXRD, and a response time of 2ms.

No word on the price at the moment.

The VPL-VW80 features the 100Hz Motionflow Dark Frame Insertion Tech, the BRAVIA Engine 2, a contrast ratio of 60,000:1, a brightness of 800 Lumens, and a response time of 2.5ms, and two HDMI inputs.

Sony suggested a price of 5,000€ for this one.
