SxS Memory Cards on Sony’s XDCAM EX Camera

This morning Victor announced its alliance with Sony to support the XDCAM EX MPEG-2 professional video file format and SxS solid state flash memory cards.

Until now the XDCAM EX used the mini DV format. Now thanks to JVC’s module, the KA-MR100G, it can record video on SxS memory cards.

This module can also be used on JVC’s camcorder, the ProHD GY-HD200/250.

For those interested, the KA-MR100G will be available March 2009, for a price around 2000€.
