A New DVR, DLNA and HD Set-top Box from Samsung

European readers, rejoice! Samsung will begin selling in Europe (particularly in the UK with BSkyB) a new generation of HD set-top boxes that also feature some nifty DVR and DLNA functions.

Although the information we have now is limited, Samsung underlined these boxes will also be able to access some Internet media… Just wait & see.

Sky is a closed system so unless Sky adopt these boxes their customers will not be able to use them.

The DLNA function sounds good though I’ve been hoping that some of the cable/sat companies pull their head out of the sand and get with the times.

If people download videos may as well be your box their watching it through rather than something else.
