CEDIA 2008: Sony’s New Products Recap

Yesterday at the CEDIA in the US, Sony introduced some new products, although some were announced last week.
We have another LCD TV, besides the 40″ super-slim LCD TV, 9.9mm thin (the slimmest in the world, even if Philips introduces their 8mm LCD TV that’s still only a concept), a 52″ version. This one features almost the same specs. The KDL-52XBR7 is equipped with MotionFlow 240Hz tech, Sony’s Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE) providing a dynamic contrast ratio of 80,000:1 and the BRAVIA Engine 2. This 1080p TV is also BRAVIA Link compatible, digital media port compatible, and features four 1080/60 24p HDMI connections, two 1080/60p HD component inputs, and the XMB GUI.
No word about price.
Sony also the introduced the BDP-S5000ES Blu-ray disc player announced yesterday in Tokyo. It comes with BD Live, Ethernet port, a 14-Bit HD video-processor (HD Reality Enhancer and Super Bit Mapping technology), DVD upscaling to 1080p, XMB GUI…
New projectors, the VLP-HW10 introduced during at IFA 2008, and the VLP-VW70. This one comes with a contrast ratio of 60,000:1 (dynamic), 800 ANSI Lumens, BRAVIA Engine…
Also presented was the TA-DA54000ES, a 7.1 home theater receiver, and the DA6400ES, a 7x120Watt AV receiver featuring almost the same specs.
