HTC’s S740, Just an Average Japanese Willcom PDA Phone

Yesterday HTC announced the S740 with dual keyboard (qwerty and keypad), another Touch Diamond clone that looks similar to what we’ve had in Japan for years… (Willcom). It can still be argued that the HTC is 2/3G, has a GPS module, but… our little S740 is stuck with a QVGA screen, no touch screen, and Windows Mobile® 6.1 Standard. Here in Japan we have… VGA, touch screen and Windows Mobile® 6.1 Pro in the same body…

    Kinda makes you wonder why HTC even tries. On this side of the pond (North America) they’re the only real game in town aside from the iPhone.
