Casio Unveils the Exilim Series, New Point & Shoot Digital Cameras

At the end of August Casio will launch new, wide-angle point & shoot digital cameras, the Exilim Zoom EX Z300, Exilim Zoom EX-Z250, and Exilim EX-Z85.

The EX Z300 features a 1/2.3″ 10.1Mpix CCD sensor, a 28mm Exilim lens with 4x optical zoom, EXILIM Engine 3.0, ISO sensitivity from 64 to 3200, a SD/SDHC/multimedia card slot and a 3″ LCD monitor. It records video in 720p @ 24fps. It will be available in three colors: Black, Silver and Pink Gold, and cost around 300€.

The EX Z250 is a 9.14 MPix point & shoot digital camera with a 1/2.5″ CCD sensor, a 28mm Exilim lens with 4x optical zoom. Specs are almost the same as found on the EX Z300, but can’t record HD video, only wide angle (848×480) at 30fps. Five colors for this one: Silver, Gold, Pink, Red, Blue.

The EX-Z85 features same specs as the Z250, but comes with a Youtube mode and ISO sensitivity up to ISO1600.
