Sanyo’s PLV-Z700: New Entry Level Full HD Projector for the European Market

Today Sanyo announced the European release their new entry-level Full HD PLV-Z700 home-use projector. It’s very similar in external design to the PLV-Z2000 that was announced around this time last year.

Internally, there are some differences. The contrast ratio is 10,000:1 while the Z2000 is 15,000:1. There are other minor differences, but we’re very happy to hear that Sanyo has made an entry-level version of its very popular Z2000… Maybe now I can afford one!

This new projector will be on sale from October 2008 in Europe, and possibly the US, although we have yet to see an announcement from there.

Here’s some pictures from Sanyo.
