unless it came with vista ultimate, you will have to reinstall with an english version of windows. Only Ultimate can switch different languages for the OS.

I should warn you that you will have a lot of trouble getting the drivers and software that you need.

Maybe easier learning to read Japanese, actually.

i bought 1 vaio type vgn-fw50b here in japan.but i dont understand coz its all written in nihongo.can i change it in english????

At picture 26 theire is another notebook with Full-HD, perhaps 18 Inch. But when from Sony I think it will have about 4 kg…

The information about the Z series doesn’t seem to match the US/Euro release or the one found on the Japanese Vaio website. I really hope that it’s not the watered down specs reported here. It seems to be a really sweet laptop (just a bit expensive…) Did any of you get to play with it?
