Olympus Introduces a 360° CCD Sensor (Prototype)

One year ago we introduced you to a new prototype from Olympus that displays images in 360°. This time they announced the development of another prototype CCD camera sensor which allows you to take pictures in 360°.

According to Olympus, this new sensor is destined for surveillance applications…

    This is nothing new, Vstone has camera similar to it already mounted on robots that can autonomously play soccer (see their VisiOn series of robots) at RoboCup

    May not be “new” but it is the the market. There are a lot of people/companies that would use this.

    We works with my partner – John Spikovski(Virtual360video) with similar product from 1998 year.

    We would be lucky to test this product with our 360-video software (viewer, converter, wrapper…)
