Samsung Introduces Two New Tastey Candy Bars

Actually… these are not “candy bars” per se, but two slim mobile phone which taste like … Sxxt… if you ‘re “sucking them, especially after you glue them to your greasy face in hot summer sun for an hour… Yeah, believe us we tried.

Normally you wouldn’t do such thing and understand that Samsung is playing with words and introducing two new “slim” phones, the Soul and L700.

Here’s more information concerning these two beasts in Samsung’s official press release… As for me, I’m going now to wash my mouth…

Singapore – June 17, 2008 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a leading mobile phone provider, today announced the launch of the Samsungand L700 – two premium bar type phones that are offering both impeccable style and outstanding features. The Soul and L700 look set to raise the standard for bar type handsets available in the market today.

A follow-on to the first Soul,is the renowned “Sprit of Ultra” (Soul) in a bar form factor. Its sleek silhouette and metallic body adorned with an elegant hairline pattern is reminiscent of the first Soul model, and its range of five luscious colours – Soul Grey, Platinum Silver, Metallic Black, Soul Pink, Amethyst Violet and Red – will satisfy even the most discerning, style-conscious users’ needs

The beauty of Soul is not just skin-deep, it also comes fully equipped with the latest features and technologies. An embedded 3-megapixel camera with Power LED, office document viewer, full speed internet browser and Bluetooth provide all-rounded convenience and connectivity for users. Moreover, a music player, video editor and recorder, FM radio (RDS) and 1GB internal memory ensure users enjoy quality entertainment whenever, wherever.

The L700 is yet another dazzling metal-body phone embellished with Samsung’s signature hairline pattern. Not only is the L700 beautifully-designed, it is also built with the ultimate comfort and convenience of users in mind. The ergonomic keypad allows users to navigate and dial with ease, while the large 2.1” display is perfect for enjoying their favourite media and entertainment files.

Like the Soul, the L700’s brilliance extends beyond its physical beauty. With 3G (WEDGE) network, the L700 provides wider access that enables users to easily hold a video conversation and gain faster access to media. The L700 is also compacted with practical and necessary up-to-date features such as a 2-megapixel camera with flash LED, office document viewer, full speed internet browser, Bluetooth, as well as various entertainment features.

“The launch of the Soul and L700 reinforces Samsung’s established leadership in developing stylish, full-featured mobile phones across a variety of form factors including the slider, clamshell and bar,” said Mr. Geesung Choi, President of Samsung’s Telecom Business.

Soul was available in Germany from early June and then will be introduced in most of Europe, Africa, Asia and South America. The L700 will launch in Eastern Europe in July and will then be introduced in Europe, Middle East, Southwest Asia and Southeast Asia.
