3R Systems Announces a Pocket-Sized Microscope

3R Systems announces a new digital pocket microscope, the ViTiny. Though it’s a bit bigger than pocket sized, it features a 300,000 pixel CMOS sensor, a 1.8’’ LCD screen, 2MB of memory, and a 24-90x zoom, and measures 120×56x25mm.

why such a small sensor? pictures will be poor quality. 1mp would be the minimum I think
