Sanyo Releases Two New Generation AV Navigation Systems in Japan

As you may know, most of Japanese GPS are sold with an internal HDD and can be used to watch movies in DTS or Dolby, and for listening to music and watching digital TV.

Here Sanyo dropped the HDD and replaced it with a SSD. Two versions are available, the 8GB NVA-MS1280DT (4GB SSD + 4GB SD card) and the 4GB SSD, NVA-MS1180DT.

Both have a 7” QVGA screen, but only the NVA-MS1280DT features a DVD player. If just having 4GB of SDD is bit lame (32GB would have been perfect), the major advantage here is when it comes to vibration, SSD is MUCH more stable than HDD.
