SEOUL, KOREA – May 15, 2008 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a leading mobile phone provider, announced the launch of F400, a dual slider music phone designed to bring top quality music and sound anytime, anywhere. With F400, users will experience a sonic bliss within the palms of their own hands.

Fully equipped with ICEpower® technology by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower, F400 is designed to quench every music lover’s thirst for a quality music phone. Smart Bass provides rich, deep and powerful sound, and Smart Limiter ensures an audio signal to not exceed the amplitude of the threshold. With ICEpower® audio technology, users can enjoy music as it should naturally sound.

Many other latest sound enhancing technologies are also embedded within F400, such as Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe™) 2.0 which brings an ideal and customized sonic experience for every genre of music. All the great music features are easily accessible by simply pressing a music hot key button placed on the side.

When slide up, F400 is ready to make calls with a metallic keypad that is softly brushed with hairline pattern. When slide down, F400 turns into a music player, revealing hidden dual stereo speakers that pump up quality sound. A brilliant silver wheel navigator on top not only adds a special touch to the classic premium design, but also provides users with deejaying experience as they turn the disk to tune their music.

Shazam, a value-added music recognizing application embedded within F400, provides users with a connected music experience. By using the application, users can find out the name and artist of an unknown tune by simply pointing their phone at the music. The service is also available when a user is listening to a song on the radio integrated within the handset.

F400 also boasts other great features. A 3-megapixel camera with AF, FM Radio and Bluetooth v 2.0 supports provide convenience and entertainment. Storage space is never an issue for F400, with an in-box 1GB SD memory and a microSD slot that supports up to 8GB to store all music files. USB 2.0 HS is also available for an extra mass storage space. A 3.5 mm earphone jack is definitely a plus, letting users plug in their favorite headsets directly to the phone.

F400 will first be available in France in May, in two colors, black and white, with glossy finishing that resembles black and white piano keys. It will continue to be available in other European countries as well as many other countries in Asia, Southeast Asia, and Middle East.
