I-O Data USB WSIM Modem

If you’re a frequent reader of Akihabara News, or if you’re a Japanese tech savvy guy/girl, you must know what a Willcom WSIM card is… For those who don’t, a WSIM card is a kind of SIM CARD (like on 2G or 3G phones) with embedded radio, and used on the Japanese PHS network.

Some time ago Willcom came up with a nifty idea that allows you to take your phone wherever you go in the palm of your hand (photo below). Just plug this WSIM card into a compliant device, like the I-O Data USB-WSIM, and it will easily transform it into a PHS modem for your computer.

So does anyone have this? Is it any good? Do Willcom mind you using the web through your PC with this? I know some providers have issues with people using their mobile net on a PC.
