Sony Cyber-Shot W170 Finally in Japan!

Another product to put on the “Japan didn’t get it first so stop complaining” list, the Sony Cybershot W170!
The specs are as follow:
-10MPx
-ISO3200
-2.7 inches screen
-28-140mm

Nice but nothing breathtaking, maybe this explains it!

That’s definitely the case. I find that there’s a huge misconception. Everytime I go home to Japan, I will be asked “hey, is X cheaper there?”
People think that because Japan is the leader in consumer electronics that everything is cheaper. NO they’re not. They’re a lot more expensive and that is because they’re the most high-tech. And whatever the rest of the world has, generally speaking, is outdated in Japan so it’s not cheap, it’s obsolete.
Fortunately for me, it usually means that having explained this, they’ll usually be put off and I never have to buy any latest gadgets for my friends.
