While most Geeks in the world are CRAZY about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, a pretty slick Windows Mobile phone (photo below), Japan decided to mock this news and preferred to stand for a National Public Holiday in the glory of… Something… Well honestly I have no idea why today is a public holiday in Japan, but hey! I won’t complain, I could sleep ’till 11-am this morning…

So sorry guys, we won’t post a lot of news today, however we have some nice shots of what a cosplay store for maid cafe wannabes looks like…

As you can see there’s a wide selection of naughty lingerie and ornaments for young ladies willing to please their, or several man/men with a nice “soubrette” outfit.

If necessary, you can dress your maid up in some neko gloves, a pair of cute cat gloves as well as a furry tail and ears to make sure that whatever happens tomorrow… you’ll be certain you’ve reached the very bottom of your life today .

Note, it’s ALSO possible to purchase the life size dolls displayed in this store for a good bulk of cash.

You live in paradise. It seems to me that the Japanese have an unfair amount of holidays. In Canada it took literally for ever to create “family day” (a “holiday” lasting Saturday to Monday February 16th to 18th), and there is not much else as far as long week-ends go. Is it just me, or is the rest of the civilized world always looking for the chance to get off work. In France some “Partie de ” something or other is even proposing that to resolve unemployment: everybody should quit their jobs (no more jobs = no more unemployment – !! I love France!!). Is there any way of importing any of your Japanese holidays (maybe eBay /o\)
