Mild Upgrade for the VAIO Type A

Now it’s Type A VAIO’s turn. We still have our 17” WUXGA screen and Blu-ray drive, but now we have a Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz), 400GB, RAID 0, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT, and a digital TV tuner.

Looks very sweet. I was wondering if Blue ray films that I buy from the UK will play on this machine? At present my UK DVDs play on my Japanese laptop but I am unsure about blue-ray. Secondly with a digital tuner does that mean that if I have a subscription to Sky Perfect or Scupper etc that I can record such programmes (including those broadcast in HD) onto the computer?
