New PDP Viera TV with a 15000:1 Contrast Ratio

Today, Panasonic unveils several new TVs: LX, LX80, and PX80 Series.

The PX80 is available in 3 different sizes: 37”, 42” and 50”. All are PDP models (Plasma), featuring x.v.Color, HD in 24p, Viera link, and a contrast ratio of 15000:1.

If everything seems to be somehow “perfect,” we are unhappy to report that only the 50” supports an HD-Ready resolution of 1366×768, while the two other models receive respectively a 1024×768 screen resolution for the 42” and 1024×720 for the 32”.

10% An LCD TV ?
49% A PDP TV ?
36% An OLED TV ?
5% Other ?

Nowdays, no one on earth will buy lower resolution only if that consumer isn’t apart from market and HD stuff.

So non-1080p = pointless, not worth to buy.
