folks, i have been driving a CX in the USA for a number of years now, and i will say that if it is indeed ugly, then ugly is beautiful. There is no other car in the world that drives or performs like it! You can drive it for hours and not feel any fatigue, sustain 100 miles per hour and get 20+ miles per gallon and have the rear passengers think that they are in a living room.

Hi,

you must be joking. The CX is certainly one of the most innovative and best looking cars ever. At the time it was released it was really lightyears ahead of the competition in terms of suspension, steering as well as exterior and interior design.

Have a look at this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdT9oURGtTc

I am saying that as a German who has lived in Japan -- the CX is really something that you French guys can be pround of.

Cheers from Germany. <img src="http://www.akihabaranews.com/img/wink.gif" width="15" height="15" border="0" alt=""/>

It is quite a shame what Citroen did with the CX pictured; in addition to being ugly, it is a little boring, even! Very few Citroens ever actually achieve 'boring', even in their most ugly or most beautiful creations. My favorite Citroen quote so far, from a blog article on a Citroen concept car earlier this summer, is:

Just what is in the water at Citroen?

at this blog with many Citroen photos:
