New DVD burner by Panasonic

The VW-BN1 is Panasonic’s latest DVD burning solution. It is external, independent (no need for a PC), and can save the content of your Panasonic HDC-SD5 (or SD7) camera recorder on a 12cm disc simply by plugging it in (USB), and pressing a button.

When used with an SD7 or SD5, the VW-BN1 is capable of playing AVCHD videos.

Compatible discs are DVD-RAM, -RW, -R and DL in 6x.
139 x 138.8 x 18mm and 390g.
To be put on sale late December in Japan.
