More Voice Recording solutions from SANYO

SANYO invited us yesterday to a little presentation of their new “audio recording” products, and the whole thing was pretty interesting, here’s a glimpse of what we saw.

First of all, the SANYO ICR-PS390RM, a voice recorder featuring 8GB of memory, and support of the PCM (visible here). This one can be used as a standard Digital Audio Player or record an entire live concert with excellent sound quality, thanks to the PCM.
Now a little bit of cultural information… in Japan you can find many more voice recorders than anywhere else, for the simple fact that it’s common use in the companies to record the meetings, and use it afterwards to write a summary to share the information between all departments. Not to mention that some companies do keep a digital copy of each and every reunion.

The next product we saw is a new breed of wireless microphone with receiver, working perfectly even when the distance between the two is up to 30m. Just take a look at the pictures to be convinced of how excellent this new product is!

Last but not least, the “tie microphone” 3 in 1! Let’s imagine for a second a stereo tie microphone (Mode 1), then now imagine than you can remove on of the mic and place it in your ears letting you for example record any phone conversation you may have, with 1 mic for your voice and one in your ear recording what the person over the phone he/she saying to you… nifty isn’t it ? (Mode 2). Now remove the 2nd Mic and put it as well in your ears, a bit like if you were using a regular Mp3 headphone, you will not be able to listen to any thing with it for sure but you will be able to record any thing around you and give your recordind some kind of virtual surround… cool isn’t it ? (Well this is the mode 3) Now you will be able to walk in the street pretending you are listening to music but in fact you will be able to spy around you without being noticed…
