Bandai’s Tachikoma toy hands-on

This week end we had the chance to stop by a small event in Makuhari where Bandai had a booth… And among all the RC wonders that we could come across, we had the time to play and shoot, so here is a photo for you of the upcoming Tachikoma toy from Bandai.
First of all, we must admit that the Tachikoma is pretty well done, and 60% of its body is made of metal, not regarding its usability. Well, this is not as cool as we expected, our little Tachikoma is just a simple PC companion, which will not be able to crawl around, but just move its legs, eyes, and hands.
On the PC side, you will be able to “play” with your Tachikoma and let it move a little; you will also be able to let it tell you the time, and other small things, like readying an email or launching an application.

While less amazing than we expected, this little Tachikoma is still a nice toy and will surely please all Ghost in the Shell fans.
