SonoSite Scans with New Portable Ultrasound

While it can’t always be babes and crazy consumer electronics shows, another interesting gadget has made its way to the market. This is an ultra portable ultrasound, which just makes it that much easier to find out what is happening inside. While some may snicker, women are not the only ones that have these done. Once I had an infection that actually almost sealed a very important blood vessel of mine. It was the mighty ultrasound that discovered it, and to say thanks, I thought I would introduce the quaint little gadget here.

This M-Turbo™ scanner features computing power from Microsoft and Texas Instruments. It even integrates High Definition video processing utilizing TI’s DaVinci technology. Ultrasound technology is used in a variety of medical applications outside of pregnant women–including, but definitely not limited to, procedural guidance for abdominal, nerve, vascular, cardiac, venous access, small parts and superficial imaging.

Having just had a baby, it would have been nice to see the baby in HD!

Enjoy!
