Canon U.S.A. Brings Out New Compact Photo Printer

Canon U.S.A. has been producing these high quality compact photo printers for some time now, and recently added another compact printer to their line-up. These printers don’t require the use of a computer, so you can take them with you on the go–and make your own postcards or just print the pictures you took on your trip when you go back to the hotel room. The design of the SELPHY ES2 Compact Photo Printer shows conservatism with a plain white color, but inside, it offers new functions for creativity.

For example, with this printer, users can now select up to 16 different templates to frame postcard-sized photos. Frames are fun, but they have added some features that are reminiscent of the good old photo booths (Print Clubs) you find in Japan, as you can add clip art for illustrations on top of your photos. They offer nine different stamps, and there are image effects. With these added effects, Canon hopes to beef up scrapbooking, and offer a creative and fun solution for those who love to print things on-the-go.

Of course, the printer doesn’t just print one size photo either, it does 4 x 6 inch as well as 2 x 3 (credit card sized), and it can do the prints in color or black & white. All this for at or around $200 as soon as you can find them in the stores.
