Canon unveils REALiS projectors
Canon on Wednesday released two multimedia projectors designed for extremely bright rooms and large environments: the REALiS SX7 and X700.
Both projectors run on LCoS systems, and are capable of producing 4,000 lumens of light. Amazingly, lamps in both projectors last about 3,000 hours under normal use.
The SX7 sports a resolution of 1440×1050, and accepts computer and HD input through a DVI port with HDCP. It also sports three stereo inputs and one output. On the other hand, the X700 sports a 1024×768 resolution, and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio.
The SX7 will go for $6,999 and the X700 will go for $3,999 with the latter to launch in October, and the former in December.
