Pioneer and Mitsubishi hand in hand with the BluRay

Mitsubishi and Pioneer announced today that they have been working on the development of a new BluRay disc (cheaper to produce) using a new technique similar to the one used for DVD-R and CD-R.
We can now hope to get more affordable BR discs in the future…near? I wouldn’t say so as we have no idea when those “1.2 version” discs will be put on sale…
