It looks like Land Lines are still alive !!!

It looks like Motorola still believes in land lines and has unveiled its line of MOTOLIVN phones.

The location-free base unit can be placed anywhere and the MOTOLIVN D7 and D8 are GAP-enabled and ship with “Standard” or “TAM” telephone answering machine versions.

The more impressive D8 sports a SIM card reader so you can easily transfer contacts and Skype capability so you can use it with your computer.

The series of phones offer 10 hours of talk time, but so far no price has been released. That said, look for them to hit European shores first with possible worldwide launches soon thereafter.
