This concerns Germany, Austria, Hungary, Croatia and the Netherlands.
The “iPhone” shall cost 399.00 Euros and be available as of November 9th in Germany.
This price is apparently valid in connection with a “T-Mobile” contract
and doesn’t contain the sales tax yet.

So all the phones developed have to be ‘converted’ into CDMA, hence delay. And the opposite, GSM is popular, so its enhanced quicker…which is why 7.2mbps data rates are possible (with 14+ coming fairly quickly afterwards!)
