Hybrid HDD, now a reality! Thanks to SONY and NEC

Yesterday both NEC and SONY rolled out a bunch of new computers and in the complete dark, most of the Japanese media did not stress the fact that some models where receiving Hybrid HDD ! So it is with SONY and its Blu-Ray Type F (Hybrid HDD only in BTO) and NEC with its LaVie C that the sale of onboard hybrid HDD started in Japan!

Yes quite surprising indeed when we know how important such news is ! Hybrid HDD will change drastically the way we use computer and this for 5 main reasons

- Speed Increase
- Decrease of power consumption
- Improve reliability and lifespan
- Faster boot process
- Less noises

It is also important that you will have to upgrade from XP to VISTA in order to be able to benefit from such advantages.
