Sorry folks, No AIBO or QRIO for Toyota

Sony sent us an official email few minutes ago stating that neither the technology behind Abio, Qrio nor all other research from Sony will be sold/given/transferred (or whatever) to Toyota (like some said either in Japan or overseases)… And honestly, I really do not believe that Toyota needs SONY for that…

弊社は、AIBOやQRIOなどロボットの研究開発成果、組織を譲渡しておりません。
プロジェクトレベルで進めていた一人乗りのトランスポーターに関わる研究開発成果を2007年3月末にトヨタ自動車へ譲渡しました。弊社で研究開発を行っていた人員は、一部がノウハウをお伝えする意味で、一定期間、トヨタ自動車へ出向しています。ソニーで行った研究開発の詳細に関しては公表していません。
