The Akihabara girls

Every sunday, right after noon, the Akihabara avenue is closed to the cars and all sorts of “shows” are held here and there.

A couple years ago, such a thing wouldn’t have been possible but, with the arrival of the Maid cafes waitresses and their funny uniforms (see picture 14), this kind of “show” has been growing up in the streets. And nobody is complaining, or maybe the real geeks do, the ones who come only to grab the latest processor and don’t care about the rest even though those amateur shows are not really legal!
Of course the mean reason behind it is the money, whether it is to sell a CD, advertise for a shop or anything else, the best way to be famous is easy: the less clothes the girls wear, the more people come to them…until they are forced to run away because some guys want to “touch the product” before considering buying it! But don’t worry, 15 minutes later they come back!
