The AMD Phenom FX 3.0GHz CPU seen in Akihaba!
The Phenom FX is the latest CPU monster made by AMD and it was about time because Intel is dominating the market at the moment. This Quad Core CPU was presented last yesterday in Akihabara and of course we went there to take a couple pictures and give our impressions!
AMD Japan was showing a little demo without any real benchmark on a machine based on the RD790 chipset, a couple ATI Radeon HD 2900XT (they wanted to put 3 but the PC wouldn’t boot), VISTA Ultimate, 3GB RAM and, of course, the Phenim FX 3.0…apparently, it looked like working pretty well and VISTA gave a nice 5.9 score with this configuration…
