Buffalo Boosts Its Lineup
In an announcement made today, Buffalo Technologies showed enhanced versions of its MiniStation and DriveStation product lines that allow for faster data transfers over USB. The Turbo USB feature set will increase 30 and 60 percent, according to Buffalo and it will even increase while its plugged into any PC.
The MiniStation comes in 80GB, 120GB, 160GB, and 250GB capacities, while It features shock-resistant technology in case you drive. The USB cable is permanently attached to the edges while it wraps around the edges for easy storage. Look for the MiniStation prices to range from $100 to $220 and will be available at the end of August.
The DriveStation is a slight step-up in capacity featuring 320GB, 500GB, 750GB, and 1TB. It sports a SecureLockWare software, which password-protects the drive. The smallest capacity drive will start at $130 and hit $500 for a 1TB drive. Look for each of these drives to be available by September.
