Logitech Advances Mouse Technology with Hand Gestures
Dubbed the Logitech MX Air mouse for desk and couch use, the new wireless mouse allows you to control it with the help of hand gestures. The MX Air uses laser tracking technology to track movements and works like any other mouse you currently use.
When lounging around, the MX Air uses free space motion sensing allowing you to control all of the controls with hand gestures. The hand motions are translated into controls like cursor, volume and playback with simple waves and flips of the wrist.
If that’s not enough to get you excited, the company has also killed the scroll wheel. In its place, the MX Air features a touch-sensitive scroll panel that measures scrolling when you swipe your finger over the surface. This surface can also detect speed and moves the page down accordingly.
Look for the MX Air to hit store shelves next month for $149.
