Kiki’s Delivery Service, that is best known as the anime movie produced by Studio Ghibli, will be made into a live-action movie – Will be released in spring 2014 – How will Studio Ghibli fans react?
Kiki’s Delivery Service, which is originally a children’s book but has been much more famous as the Studio Ghibli’s animation movie, will be made into a live-action movie. It is due to be released in spring 2014.
The live-action movie has no relation to Studio Ghibli and it is said that it will be more faithful to the original book. However, if you are a fan of Studio Ghibli or the animation version, you will be very concerned about who is going to play the part of Kiki and other major characters such as Mrs. Osono and Tombo.
Fuka Koshiba, 16 years old Japanese actress, was cast as Kiki and it is her first starring role in a movie. Some of the roles of other characters are played by famous Japanese actors/actresses.
The direct of the live-action movie is Takashi Shimizu who is best known as the creator of the horror movie series “Ju-on”.
The animation version created by Studio Ghibli is loved by a lot of people all over the world, so we expect that the live-action version will become as good a movie as possible.
